2004 Honda Accord Review
For 2004, the Accord is very much the same, save for a couple of excellent upgrades,
which means it's still one of the best cars available. Its core qualities, like
a comfortable cabin, refined powertrains and reputation for excellent quality
and durability, make it a prime choice for any family car shopper. The 2004 Honda
Accord is offered in two-coupe and four-door sedan body styles. There are six
trims in total: DX, LX, LX V6, EX, EX-L and EX V6. Both sedans and coupes seat
five passengers, with similar cargo volume numbers.

The assortment of models available lets customers really have a choice in terms
of standard features. The look of the 2004 Honda Accord is clean and flowing.
It comes in eight distinct colors this year. More refined than flashy, it doesn't
mind getting noticed, but it doesn't need to either. Two engines drive the 2004
Honda Accord. DX, LX and EX models all come with a 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder
engine. It can be mated to either 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission,
and it produces 160 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 161 lb-ft of torque at 4500 rpm.
Not surprisingly, the 2004 Honda Accord LX V6 and EX V6 models feature a V6 engine.
It is a 3.0-liter motor, and it cranks out 240 horsepower at 6250 rpm and 212
lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm. 5-speed automatic is the sole transmission offered
with this engine. The 2004 Honda Accord has double wishbone suspension to give
occupants a smooth ride. It glides over bumpy roads and highways and handles dips
quite well.
Not an off-roader by any stretch of the imagination, it still manages to dampen
the effects of weather-battered pavement. With 240 hp available, the Accord V6
can match or beat just about any other family car in terms of acceleration; however,
most buyers will be perfectly content with the power and refinement of the four-cylinder
engine. The suspension provides a comfortable ride as well as commendable levels
of road grip while cornering.
